2005 TOYOTA COROLLA T3 D-4D spares/repairs needs new clutch
this has the M-MT gearbox and the clutch is U/S

This is my Corolla D-4D 1.4 Diesel, semi-auto.Mileage is a little high at 117,500.
It is for sale as spares or repair due to a clutch problem. The gearbox is the type that is a manual gearbox and clutch controlled by a computer (to make it full auto) and it has a fault code showing a fault with the clutch. The fault code is P0810 which is a fault code for "clutch position control". This happened once before, approx 40,000 miles ago and the Toyota dealer fitted a new clutch and reset the clutch position sensor. I don't know if the sensor position requires resetting again or if it requires a new clutch as well, 40,000 doesn't seem very long for a clutch to last if it does?
The clutch does not slip at all but the electronics "notice" the fault after driving for a while and refuse to engage gears. If it does this, the car can be left for a little while and then it will, once again behave normally. This means the car can be driven to get it home for the new owner.
The condition of the car is quite good, having only a couple of very minor scuffs from shopping trips, however the interior is quite grubby as this is a school run car and I live at a farm.It should clean up quite well with some fabric cleaner as it is general normal use that has made it grubby.
The car is quite well specc'd and has aircon, central locking and electric front windows is is absolutly superb on fuel.
The car has quite a lot of service history with it but some is missing from early in it's life. recent history is there mostly from 2008 onwards.
The car also had a genuine short engine fitted brand new by Toyota in 2008 due to the car being driven too quickly through a large puddle and sucking some water up the intake. This was paid for by me at a cost of £2500.
Tyres are all good and the battery is only a year old.
The car has been replaced by a newer one and I find the fault irritating especially if driving in heavy traffic so I am selling "as is" on a spares or repairs basis.
The car will be sold complete so please don't ask about me stripping any parts from it.
I have set a low reserve so I am confident it will sell.
