Toyota Aygo VVT-I Sport 3-door One private owner 22,000 miles This 2005 ‘05’ Aygo Sport has been owned by my Mum since 4th June 2006 and she is the ...> one and only non-smoking private owner. Before that it was used by John Roe Toyota in Scunthorpe as a demonstration vehicle. Presented in metallic Ice Blue with Flint fabric interior, complimented by a silver interior trim, this Aygo most certainly comes in the best colour combination by far. Being originally owned by Toyota to promote sales of the Aygo, this is a high specification example. As far as I am aware, the factory fitted cost optional extras over and above the standard Sport specification are as follows: · Air conditioning · Metallic paint · Rev counter · Tomtom docking station (original Tomtom included) · TTE (Toyota Team Europe) bodykit, comprising: - Centre exhaust system - Front spoilers/spats - Rear spoiler - Side skirts The bodykit is not an aftermarket addition; it was fitted at the factory when new. This cost option is ultra rare on an Aygo and makes the exterior look so much better than the usual ‘Sport’ models seen elsewhere. At the time of writing this advert there are currently no Aygo models with the TTE bodykit on the whole of Ebay (450 currently for sale) and Autotrader (1500 currently for sale), hence you’re unlikely to see another quite like it on the road today. Standard specification includes: · 14” 5 spoke aluminium wheels · Adjustable steering column · Driver and passenger airbags · Front electric windows · Folding rear seat (50/50 split) · Front fog lights · Manual gearbox · Power assisted steering · Rear wiper · Single CD player (MP3 compatible) with socket for iPod/MP3 player · Sunvisors with vanity mirrors The following stamps are present in the service booklet: · 5579 miles on 5th July 2006 (John Roe Toyota, Scunthorpe) · 15,148 miles on 11th June 2008 (John Roe Toyota, Scunthorpe) · 21,052 miles on 10th November 2010 (Dexel, Gainsborough) The parts for the last service were purchased from Listers Toyota Main Dealer in Lincoln and given to Dexel, Gainsborough to service the car with (receipt included). Current mileage is just 22,165. Time wise, the car is overdue a service, but not due to mileage. Mileage wise the car will need a service again at 31,000 as the car has covered just 1100 miles since the last service. There is a current M.O.T. until June 21st. All M.O.T. certificates are present from the car’s first M.O.T. in 2008, these are as follows: · June 2011 – June 2012 (21,625 miles) · June 2010 – June 2011 (18,352 miles) · June 2009 – June 2010 (16,655 miles) · June 2008 – June 2009 (15,148 miles) The M.O.T. last year revealed no advisories whatsoever. Receipts for maintenance include: · 25th March 2011 (two new tyres) · 10th November 2010 (wiper blades) · 8th November 2010 (parts for service) · 29th October 2010 (front brake pads and discs) · 16th May 2009 (two new tyres) If you’re in the market for good looking reliable small car with very low running costs, you’ve just found it. My Mum is 57 and pays about £200 per year for insurance. It costs £20 per annum for the road tax and the 1.0 petrol engine can average an impressive 60 mile to one gallon of fuel. As with any car of this age, there are a couple of negatives: · Remote key fob was lost four years ago. You can still unlock and lock both front doors and boot by using the key in the passenger door · Scrape to lower part of the front bumper, driver’s side The personalised number plate will be retained by my Mum for her new car, so the Aygo will revert to an ‘05’ plate (original plate was FV05VZA, so it might go back on that one). This is a current Toyota model and an equivalent specification model would cost you circa £12k today. Stick a private plate on this low mileage example and you’re laughing! This is a reluctant sale of a much loved car due to a genuine impulse purchase of another car. There is no outstanding finance and no previous insurance claims. Please feel free to run a check for your own piece of mind. If you have any questions or would like to arrange a viewing please contact me through Ebay or phone 07763 629 341. Many thanks for looking. X

The prototype for the Sports 800, called the Toyota Publica Sports , debuted at the 1962 Tokyo Auto Show, featuring a space age sliding canopy and utilizing the 28 hp (21 kW) power train of the Toyota Publica 700, a Japanese market economy car. The Toyota Sports 800 is affectionately called the "Yota-Hachi", which is a Japanese short form for "Toyota 8". [ citation needed ] In 1965, the car went into actual production, [ 1 ] with chassis code UP15 and an increase in engine displacement from 700 cc to 800 cc, as well as dual carburetors, which increased power from 28 hp (21 kW) to 45 hp (34 kW). This engine was sufficient to power the light 580 kg (1,279 lb) car around town at 45 mpg or on a race track up to about 100 mph (160 km/h). [ citation needed ] The car had aerodynamic styling by Shozo Sato, a designer on loan from Datsun, and Toyota engineer Tatsuo Hasegawa . Hasegawa had been an aircraft designer in World War II and the resulting Sports 800 was a lightweight and agile machine. [ 2 ] The Sports 800 was one of the first production cars featuring a lift-out roof panel, or targa top , pre-dating the Porsche Targa. The aluminum targa top could be stored in the trunk, when not in use. [ citation needed ] Between 1965 (Showa year 40) and 1969 (Showa year 44) approximately 3,131 units were built by the Kanto Auto Works. Only about 10% of those vehicles are known to have survived, most being in Japan. [ 3 ] Production Tables [ where? ] show 1,235 cars manufactured in 1965, 703 in 1966, 538 in 1967, 440 in 1968, and 215 in 1969. [ citation needed ] The vast majority of the 3,131 cars were right hand drive, but some 300 were left hand drive models, built primarily for the Okinawa market. (Okinawa, having been American occupied, drove on the "other side" from the rest of Japan.) A very limited number of left hand drive cars were used by Toyota to "test drive" in the US, but Toyota made a decision not to import or sell the cars in the US market. [ citation needed ] There are subtle design differences between the years. Noticeable differences have included: change over from non-synchro to synchro first gear in 1967; a grill and bumperette change in 1968; and side marker lights in 1969. The basic body design, however, remained unchanged. [ citation needed ] An air-cooled 790 cc horizontally opposed two-cylinder boxer engine powered the vehicle. The 0.8 liter 2U (45 bhp @ 5400) was produced from 1965 through 1969, while a similar 2U-B was produced from 1966 through 1976 (in 1975 the Dyna Coaster Bus manual shows that Toyota used the 2U-B as a separate auxiliary engine, just to run the air conditioning unit for the bus). The 2U was also used in the Publica (UP20/UP26) and MiniAce (UP100). [ citation needed ] Weight was kept down by using aluminum on selected body panels and thin steel on the unibody construction. For the first few years of production even the seat frames were made of aluminum. Curb weight is 580 kg. [ citation needed ] There are both Japanese and American Registries on the Internet. Owners are encouraged to register their vehicles. [ citation needed ] Toyota produced a one-off prototype Sports 800 Gas Turbine Hybrid for the 1979 Tokyo Motor Show . First came word that ToMoCo's Mr. Toyoda stated the brand needed to get sportier. Next came the very welcome news that along with Subaru, Toyota would be introducing a lightweight, RWD sport coupe ( now known to be the FT-86 ) that would cost about $20,000. Finally, there's the LFA , the $500,000 Lexus, that if the reviews are to be believed, just might be worth every penny. That's all well and good, but what if you want a sporty Prius? Meet the G Sports Series. To quote Toyota, the G Sports Series, " is designed for customers who strongly desire to own a unique vehicle, offering them a personalized interior and exterior design along with sports-driving performance." Put another way, Toyota is bringing the aftermarket in-house. With a total of five vehicles getting the G Sports Series treatment, Toyota is looking to offer customized sportiness to whomever wants it. Only two of the five cars however are U.S. market vehicles: the Prius and the FT-86. The Prius gets one hell of a body kit, including sleek rear-wheel skirts. While far from beautiful, we have to say that we like the G Series Prius much better than the regular one. But, the real news is the G Sports Series FT-86. Because it's the FT-86 is still officially a "concept" Toyota isn't revealing any hard data beyond RWD, 2.0-liters and six-speed manual. Good enough for us. As far as the G Sports Series version goes, it's a little busy and the rear wing is beyond unnecessary. Still, we're quite excited. Especially as the front of the FT-86 might just be revealing an intercooler. Which would mean a turbocharger. Or is that just a fancy radiator? Well, you know the Subaru version is going to have an intercooler... Just to add to the speculation, check out the drift-o-rific video after the jump .
