Against It's not the most fun supermini, and the 1.0-litre engine struggles beyond urban limits. For the sake of rear legroom, Toyota has sacrificed boot space, so this is not the best shopping trolley. That makes them ideal for city-dwellers and anyone who needs an easy-to-park car.It also means the Yaris is very nippy through congested city streets. However, it's not as comfortable as the best supermini rivals because the ride doesn't ever really settle at any speed. Decent handling is scant compensation.
